Maybe it's because it's affordable, maybe it's because it's easy and quick to cook, fact is that chicken meat is now a constant presence on our tables, even in the “tagliata” version. Here's an appetizing recipe to prepare a very tasty chicken tagliata, perfect for any occasion and ideal also to propose for friends who mind their waistlines.
Everybody loves chicken, VIPs too The passion for chicken is a constantly growing trend: according to research performed for Unaitalia, 9 out of 10 Italians state they eat white meat several times a week, while 30% (mostly young people and women) define themselves as true 'chicken lovers'. All in all, chicken has finally shaken off the eternal second label and has become the fully-fledged protagonist of the Italian tables. Particularly appreciated for its lightness and the high amino acid intake, as well as being much cheaper than red meat, chicken is conquering an increasingly wide and varied audience: children, women, sportsmen and sportswomen, but also many VIPs do not hide their passion for this meat. Some examples? For Gwyneth Paltrow, it is a family matter: her grandfather, the owner of a farm on Long Island, has passed on his passion to his granddaughter, so much so that she does not hesitate to state that she has 'chicken soup in her veins'. Obama himself cannot do without Kentucky Fried Chicken, the classic American dish, from which our golden chicken is inspired. This then makes it easier to understand why tagliata today is no longer exclusive of red meat.
How to prepare a chicken tagliata with vegetables Chicken tagliata is a simple, healthy and quick dish to prepare, if you follow the right instructions. But we want to surprise you with an even tastier version, the one with vegetables.
The recipe Here's how to do it: once the nerves and central bone have been removed, marinate the chicken breast for an hour in a sauce consisting of five tablespoons of oil, half a glass of white wine, salt and pepper. Once the marinade is complete, make small parallel cuts in the meat and insert the herbs. After having breaded the meat, proceed with the cooking in a frying pan for 15 minutes. Before serving at the table, cut the chicken into slices and garnish the dish with stir-fried vegetables. The taste is ensured but the eye too needs to be pleased: to add a touch of colour to the dish you can use basil leaves, parsley, a drizzle of oil and a sprinkle of pepper.
